At one point, a boy tried to shave his first initial into his chest hair, only to discover that he had written it backwards from looking in the mirror. Another boy came stumbling around the corner. Into his chest he had shaved the bat symbol, which matched his underpants. I nervously sipped my beer and tried avoid touching anything. Christmas Freud” is one of the first stories I heard on This American Life and still my favorite story to this day. He died last night from cancer at age 47. A great humorist lost. “Have a fantastic day!” Mr. Rakoff, may you rest in peace.
